(More customer reviews)This is a very nice 1:64 sized Jeep by Matchbox. The movie and subsequent TV show was long into reruns by the time I was born and although I enjoyed watching both, I'm no huge fan of either. However I am of this Star Car. Even if you don't like the show MASH units are still a part of any modern war and well maybe they don't use these sorts of Jeeps anymore (maybe they do I don't know) but it's still a nice vehicle to add to your collection. Has M*A*S*H 4077 on the sides of the bonnet (hood). On the top of the hood there's no 4077 but there is a white star. On the canopy roof there's a huge red cross. Likewise a smaller on the rear sides along with another star and a bent shovel where the door would be if it had one. The jeep has big wheels and a bull bar too. It comes on top of a rectangular box which helps display it if you are taking it out and throwing away the packaging. The Jeep also fits inside the box. The box has M*A*SH, camouflage green colouring and the Matchbox logo as well as Matchbox Star Car collection written on it.
It displays well if kept inside the packaging as well with the TV show logo over a helicopter that was used in the Korean war to transport wounded soldiers to the M*A*S*H camps and you would assume is a still from the TV show. A very nice vehicle and must for the army vehicle collector, TV/Movie die-cast vehicle collector or simply as a toy.
Amazon doesn't seem to sell all the Star Car Collection but the others in the series are Grease, Taxi, The Brady Bunch, Happy Days, The Untouchables, Mission Impossible, Magnum P I, Miami Vice, Jaws (this is the most expensive one to track down), Animal house, Adam-12, Smokey and the Bandit (also fairly pricey), Mork & Mindy, Laverne and Shirley, Top Gun and American Graffiti.
Unlike most other Matchbox cars there is a big difference in price of these vehicles loose to inside their blister packs. Since they appeal to a lot of movie car collectors there are a lot still available in their packaging.
