(More customer reviews)My ten year old son bought this with the money he'd saved up. A very big deal. We shopped around the internet before we bought it on Amazon. This was the best deal we found.
This is really a fun toy. Speed Racer rides inside, lifts up at the push of a button, then unloads down a ramp that lifts up from the top of the truck.
My son assigns everyone in the house a particular Hot Wheels truck w/car. He always gets this Speed Racer truck/car. The trucks drive up and upload their cars. The cars race. He always wins. Huh. I know it is durable because it has fallen off the racetrack a few times (the kitchen bar is a part of the race track so it's pretty high.)

Mattel Speed Racer Movie Moments Thunderhead Raceway with Mach 4 Review

(More customer reviews)This is by far the greatest hot wheels track I have ever come across. No batteries required, just straight up fun times. Set the needle to 12 o-clock and then start slamming the launchers to make your cars speed around the loop. Each time your car makes a complete loop the needle moves a notch in your direction and if you can get it all the way over to your side the checkered flag drops declaring you the winner! Plus both cars go around the same loop so crashes are pretty common (if you know 5 yr old boys....or 26 year old dads for that matter....then you can see where this would add to the pleasure of the race). I played with this with my two young boys (4 and 5) for hours getting out car after car too see who is fastest. It's sort of a running thing that I can do to bond with them...we go to the store and each get to pick out a new hot wheels car and then bring them home to race them. It's fun for them AND for me. I HIGHLY recommend this product!

Hot Wheels Speed Racer Grand Prix 6-pack 1:64 Diecast Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this set to keep at my house for my grandsons. The toy was an instant success, and even the parents were choosing favorites. The cars are very well made and durable. I feel like the price for the set was reasonable for the 6 cars that are in the package. I think the educational value is in the sharing aspect, more so than in any other concept.
