When complete it features lots of little details you wouldn't expect in a model this size. The colors are for the most part accurate, though observant owners will notice a couple spots where things were left unpainted - just an opportunity for those who like to fill in the details to get out the brush and paint!

(More customer reviews)Over many years (72) I've built a lot of plastic models...mostly the good old standard, Revell. After several hours of working on this one it's going in the garbage. Unless you are a precision jeweler with the patience of Job, don't try it. Parts don't fit well and the instructions are very poor. Many times it's hard to tell where to cut the flashing. Even if and when you ever finished this model you'd have to put it in a glass display case, it's so fragile. Very poorly designed kit. I guess I'll have to break down and buy one of the expensive solid models available.

For many pilots, this was the first plane they learned to fly. Simple, forgiving, but just remember, keep the landing speed at 60 mph! (At least that?s what my instructor told me.) This model has a removable engine cowling, which allows you look at the detailed engine and accessories. You can see through the cockpit windows to view the instrument panel, controls and seats. The landing gear is covered by streamlined parts and, to finish it off, the decals offer a colorful red, yellow and black design.

I have the entire Bruder Mack Granite series (along with all the CAT construction stuff). I haven't seen anything comparable offered by any other toy manufacturer in this scale. Even though you will never see a truck like this in operation down here in Florida, it is such a fun toy to play with in the sand on the beach. I bought this Bruder toy (and all the others) for my 5 month old grandson who will be old enough to play with them in about 2 1/2 years. Until then I'll take really good care of them, and they are all on display in my man cave...
...as they should be.

About the only thing that surprised me was that they were so small! Since I was not familiar with the product at the store, I had no idea they were so small. The price (which has come down since my purchase) seems a bit high for the size of the product. My grandson loved them, though. Can't weigh in on the durability, though, since he just got them, and the educational value seems pretty small.

(More customer reviews)The Yale Forklift Truck does what it says on the box, however I found the sticking of the mast a bit off putting if you are lowering things with no weight to them but I will attemp to resolve with a bit of grease. But by far the worst problem which is a design fault is that the pallets slide off the forks very easily, a problem that we have overcome by attaching small pieces of sand paper to the bottom of each pallet (Strapping your cargo to the pallets with rubber bands also does the trick)
But all in all Its a pretty good looking little truck

It seems to be a very accurate model, and the die-cast construction gives it a nice weight and presence. However, it is not a great toy; the attachments (dozer blade and ripper) have realistic, but limited motion, and the tracks frequently come off the drive and idler wheels. Kids may become easily frustrated with the model and turn to more toy-like ones, but adults will like the details.

Jetfire - Transformers Voyager Classic Review

(More customer reviews)I was given the original Jetfire as a present around 1985, and I can remember being very confused when watching the Transformers television show because Jetfire was called "Skyfire" and although the coloring was the same, the overall design was definitely different. Was he the same guy? If not, where was the Skyfire toy, and why didn't Jetfire appear in the TV show?
I did not discover until about 15 years later that this had something to do with licensing. The original Jetfire toy was not based on the Transformers toy line at all, but some bizarre cross-marketing scheme that somehow ended in a Veritech fighter from Macross/Robotech getting an Autobot symbol slapped onto it. Evidently Hasbro/Takara were able to procure the rights to produce the toy, but not to include its image in the TV show.
The cool thing about this "Classic" transformer is that its design no longer resembles the original Jetfire/Veritech design, but the Skyfire design that appeared in the Transformers TV show. They would have been better off calling this Skyfire, but were probably banking on the popularity of the original toy to help sell more units than memories of the TV show...Or there's some other bizarre licensing thing behind the scenes.
Definitely a good piece of TF history to own for any collector.
