I know, what can I say, I knew that these were full-sized toys, but I must say that when I unpacked them I was quite surprised. The truck and the excavator each comes in its own box. The toys are large, and quite easy to play with. They are also remarkably detailed, and look like display items rather than toys. But, once your kid gets a look at this thing, he, or indeed she(!), won't be able to keep their hands off of it.
Right, they are made of plastic, and you will want to avoid giving them to children under the 3 year age limit - there are too many pieces that a little one will be able to pull off and perhaps swallow.
I gave this to my nephew, who was wowed by it, and immediately began playing with them in his back yard. (Large toys, such as this one, are more backyard friendly, I have always thought.) He used the excavator to dig in his sandbox, and generally had a great time.
Now, this is not a cheap toy. But, if you are tired of seeing kids getting masses of cheap toys that they do not appreciate, and merely walk over, then consider a high-quality toy like this one. We think it's great!
