(More customer reviews)My three year old eventually broke this...but after 6 months of heavy use. Lots of digging at the beach. The Cat tracks were the first to go....then the bucket. I blame the usage more than the product....it s fairly well made.We even bought a second excavator. Go for it!

(More customer reviews)The Mega Bloks 7800 CAT Construction Backhoe Loader is a great toy for our son. It is well made and has a lot of details, such as a Caterpillar diesel motor in the engine compartment with a hood that hinges up for access. The design and quality of construction are very good. This is compatible with LEGO Duplo bricks. The front end bucket can be used to load a dump truck with pretend brick-rocks or actual small pebbles.
Know what you're buying: this is not suitable for use outdoors in actual dirt, because the fine details that make this interesting will get messed up in the dirt. It is at home indoors with LEGO Duplo bricks and other medium sized toy vehicles and construction equipment.
The tires are very nice with interesting details such as actual metric sizes moulded into the sidewall. (Really!) The vehicle rolls well - straight and smooth - across a flat floor. This is the most realistic and functional backhoe loader I've seen for preschoolers.

(More customer reviews)This is a terrific toy - very well built. My 3 year old daughter is hard on everything and proceeded to try to take this toy apart but to no avail! The only breakable part are the rear view mirrors. So far they have held together but I suspect that they will break since they are a little flimsy.

When I received the toy, I was amazed at the quality of the product...heavy, durable and even of keepsake quality for the boys to keep for their boys. Hard to find that quality anymore. Am so happy to know it is still out there.

Could hardly believe my eyes when this thing arrived. It's just a bit bigger than a hotwheel! This item should not be listed under toys. Returned it immediately.

We've had this toy for two weeks now and haven't had a problem. Maybe after some more rough play we will have some breaks as well, but at this point it's held up well and provides a lot of fun.
