It doesn't stand up very stably, and in general seems kind of flimsy. Maybe better for an older child.

Garbage Truck Review

(More customer reviews)After buying the Bruder toys which are fun but can't be taken outside because of breakage I looked online for a metal garbage truck. I paid near $50 including the shipping and extra trash bin. The truck is sturdy enough being made of metal but the trash cans are made of plastic. Good thing I bought an extra because it broke within 1 minute of use. The truck is very small, I thought it would be bigger. Although it is hard for me to make the trash small enough to fit in there my son seems to enjoy it. The other downfall is that the truck lifts the garbage can but not at a high enough angle for an easy dump. So my son has to shake it to get the garbage to fall out. I would think for this amount of money these things would be better on it. Nonetheless my son likes it and we won't send it back. I'll probably just buy him a bigger one. Other movements on the truck: the cab tilts forward and there is a sliding mechanism that pushes the trash out at "the dump."

(More customer reviews)Bought this for a young boy who wanted a replacement for the "Bobcat" that his dog chewed up. I thought I would get a die cast model that would be less appealing to the dog. Very disappointed as soon as I opened the box. 1:32 scale didn't sound too small, but this thing is tiny. Still waiting for two more Norscot toys I ordered and after looking at the dimensions more carefully, I suspect I may be returning the whole order. More of a small replica than a child's toy. He has not seen it yet, so maybe it will work out, but pay close attention to the dimensions before you purchase any of the Norscot toys. It's really a shame I have to make a choice between cheap, expensive plastic toys like Bruder, or metal toys that may last but are too small to play with.

John Deere Construction Wheel Loader Review

(More customer reviews)This company makes great little toys, however if you order this item you will get the "dump truck" aka articulated haul truck instead of the toy wheel loader your kid has been asking for all year. Pretty frustrating as someone at Amazon seems to be putting the incorrect label on these before shipping them out.
The 6.99 return offer was not worth the hassle of going to the post office to return this and risk getting another incorrect item and falling further into return land.
That being said, if you want this toy - go to the local toy store and spend a few extra bucks to get what you are looking for.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this toy truck for my grandson for Christmas. The order was placed in late October. I was advised that the truck would arrive around the 4th of November. That truck never did arrive. I tried three times to contact the seller and she did not reply. I then called my credit card company and had the order cancelled. I would not recommend buying from that person again. I have ordered from Amazon and have always had excellent service until this time. I don't think this seller should be allowed to sell anything on Amazon again.

PETERBILT MODEL 379 DOUBLE DUMP Truck New Ray Review

(More customer reviews)I'm being very generous by giving this item 2 stars and I'm only rating it that because the delivery was fast and efficient and the packaging was attractive. The truck IS attractive but that's as far as the positive goes. It's very poorly built. I bought this one and another one by the same manufacturer for my 2 sons (ages 3 & 6) for Christmas and they are both already trashed. Literally - in the trash can (note: it's now only January 4th). I did not save my receipt so I don't expect money back but I'm writing this review and I wrote the company to voice my dissatisfaction. I have not heard back from them yet but if I do and they try to remedy this situation then I very well might change this review. But as of right now I must say that the quality of these trucks are very very low and if you want to do anything with them other than look at them from afar - then do NOT purchase them. Pieces will break off left and right and they will become unusable.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this tractor for my 22 month old and he loves it. It is very durable ... Has survived many dive bomb crashes off his play table on to the wood floor. It has a working Steering wheel that moves the axle which is my son favorite part of the tractor. Also great in the sand box. Definitely recommend it! I will be purchasing more like it for his 2nd bday.Great price too!

(More customer reviews)It is important to note that this is a scale down model. The toy is sturdy, but is rather small. We bought this toy for our four year olds birthday. The vendor did not deliver as promise and we ended up having to go to Toys R Us to find another tanker truck. At the store we found a big version for about $10 more than the one advertised here. Almost a week after the birthday the original purchase showed up (mind you we paid for overnight delivery). Our son likes the bigger version we got at Toys R Us. We did not send back the first one because it would cost us more than what we paid for it in the first place.

MAN Tip up truck Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this truck for my 3 year old son about two months ago. He love's this truck! It is very realistic and seems high quality. Note that the doors don't open on this model.
He likes playing with this truck outside, and so far we haven't had any durability issues. I just gave it 4 stars on durability because it doesn't have a rock solid feel- particularly the side mirrors.
This was our first Bruder truck. Bruder is now my go-to brand for little kid birthday presents (we've given two away in the last month, and they were very well received).

(More customer reviews)Our son has loved this truck. He uses small Lego bricks as garbage, and they pass through the auger into the truck's box with no problem. The arm extends from the truck's side and grabs the garbage can. The can is dragged over to the very side of the truck, then lifted and tilted over the opening. The lifting mechanism is very cleverly designed so that no 'garbage' will fall from the can until the lifting knob is slightly over-rotated, thereby opening the garbage can lid. Sounds complex, but it is well built, and has lasted us a year so far. The Bruder line is very tough, and the plastic is almost indestructible.

(More customer reviews)Looks good. Feels Solid. However, with in 10 minutes of my son playing with it axels were bent and bumper fell off. I did not see him abuse the toy. Found out what he had done was holding it firm to open the rear cargo door caused the axels to bend. Should use a stronger metsl for axels. I was able to bend them back easily, so I know the metal is too pliable for this type of use. Also it is avertised as 1:55 scale but it says right on the box 1:87 scale. Save your $20 and move onto something else.
