(More customer reviews)My grandson loves the "garbage guys" from WM that service his town. I purchased this for him on his second birthday. Clearly this "toy" is more of a collector's item. It is a scale model in metal with many intricate details in small plastic. In the first hour of play many of the plastic pieces broke off and we collected them lest they do harm to the children. By now all those pieces should be off the item. He absolutely loves it. With a little difficulty he carries it around with him. It was his favorite gift and I would buy it again unless there is a WM model that is available in more of a toy form that can hold up. Thanks for making it available.

Waste Management Front End Loader Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great model, they even tell you an age range, Model details are great but it will not stand up to play from a younger kid. It is all metal and quality built. Though the size is listed it seemed smaller that we expected when we got it. Overall it is a great working model of the truck but buying at as a toy for a younger kid would not be recommended.

Garbage Truck Review

(More customer reviews)After buying the Bruder toys which are fun but can't be taken outside because of breakage I looked online for a metal garbage truck. I paid near $50 including the shipping and extra trash bin. The truck is sturdy enough being made of metal but the trash cans are made of plastic. Good thing I bought an extra because it broke within 1 minute of use. The truck is very small, I thought it would be bigger. Although it is hard for me to make the trash small enough to fit in there my son seems to enjoy it. The other downfall is that the truck lifts the garbage can but not at a high enough angle for an easy dump. So my son has to shake it to get the garbage to fall out. I would think for this amount of money these things would be better on it. Nonetheless my son likes it and we won't send it back. I'll probably just buy him a bigger one. Other movements on the truck: the cab tilts forward and there is a sliding mechanism that pushes the trash out at "the dump."

1/34 DC Waste Mgment Rear Load Review

(More customer reviews)My son is obsessed with garbage trucks (even going so far as to collect small LEGO pieces and other items to use as 'garbage' for it), and this is a good-looking one! Very realistic replica of the real thing, with a attention to details such as the tiny hydraulic cables that are laid out on top. It is perhaps a little smaller than I expected though.
Unfortunately, it is not that well built. After only one week of typical kids play, several pieces have been crushed: the rearview mirrors, the gas tanks under the cabin, and even one of the hinges for the hood.
As such, it is maybe more of an decorative ornament than a kids toy.
