DX5e 5Ch Full Range Transmitter/Receiver only MD2 Review

(More customer reviews)My husband flys RC jets. He has the really nice Spektrum Dx7 (which is one NICE transmitter). However, we also have G scale trains running on transmitters. This unit is great for the trains which require the Spektrum Dx5 receiver. For $99 you get the receiver ($70 alone) AND the trasmitter too. That's really a good deal. It's comfortable to work with. The battery remaining lights are helpful. My only actually beef is that you use AA batteries rather than rechargeable (that would be optional batteries and an optional charger). However, those 4 AA batteries DO last a LONG time. While I would be OK running a park flyer on this, I wouldn't choose this for more intense aircraft. It is kind of basic when compared to the Dx7 in quality, controls, etc. As for trains, this is just super. It is what it is and if your use is for it, it's perfect. I am really having a blast with it on the trains.

CH-46D Sea Knight Helicopter US Navy (Built-Up Plastic) Easy Model MRC Review

(More customer reviews)I (Santa) bought this for my 7 year-old son because he asked for "a helicopter like Papa had on his ship in the Navy." This seemed appealing since it's already put together (mostly) and he could enjoy it without the frustration of having to assemble a model meant for more experienced hobbyists.
I will say that the model is small (fuselage is about 6" long) but very finely detailed and very accurate. The 6 blades come disassembled and have to be pushed on to some VERY small and delicate plastic pins which protrude from the rotor hubs.
After pushing on two of the blades, my son bumped one (gently) and it promptly fell right off onto the table. I continued pushing the blades on, and broke off two more pins in the process. My son was upset and slunk off with tears in his eyes.
I was able to file off the remaining stubs and used model cement to reattach the rotor blades (ALL OF THEM, EVENTUALLY), carefully propping each one up for a few hours until the cement had done its work.
So, it looks great now - but IT IS A DISPLAY MODEL, NOT A TOY and will not tolerate any handling by careless hands, whether they be a child's or an adult's.

(More customer reviews)My son did really play with this toy but I think that is because he loves remote control. Door to battery holder would not stay shut and car would just stop working and then start again later. Was not expensive for the price it was okay.

(More customer reviews)Okay..... well I am an experienced pilot and I fly Walkera flybarless heli's. Flying flybarless are fun to watch being flown in the house and when they crash it's heart breaking. I have spent well over 600.00 in replacement parts over my career just for one heli alone. Yes I could have purchased a dozen of the coaxials but I am stubborn. This Double Horse in my opinion is fun to fly in the house and crash after crash it still flies sound without waiting for replacement parts. Warning to buyers; You should fly coaxial helis like this one before you even consider a flybarless or more advanced heli. Recommendations: buy extra batteries for chopper and blades. Other than that it should handle well for the beginner. If you crash make sure you stop the rotors from turning to avoid damage. This goes for all heli's. Hope this helps you on your decision. 25503 1/43 Agusta US Coast Guard Review

(More customer reviews)This is the third NewRay diecast helicopter model we've bought, and it is just as good as the others - very detailed and realistic, and you can compare it to photos of the actual helicopter. This is more of a display model for adults than a kid's toy, though, and because it is so detailed, you have to be very careful about not breaking off any of the tiny parts.

Hot Wheels IZOD IndyCar Series Dario Franchetti Car Review

(More customer reviews)Not as detailed as other 1:24 scale Die-cast, but it's probably the nature of the Series (IZOD).
NASCAR Die-cast made by Action and other companies, are able to have opening hoods, detailed interiors of the car, roof flaps..etc.
Still, makes a nice car to display on a bookshelf or glass case.
Wings are plastic and the wheels may break with play, so you may not want to give to a young child to play with.
I feel it is more a collectible than a toy.
Amazon needs to correct the spelling of Dario's last name....There is no "e" in Franchitti.
