(More customer reviews)This figure was my first Yamato 1/48 scale valkyrie. It's a largely great figure, very detailed and the transformation is fun and not to difficult. One thing I really like is the size. It's pretty big in all modes and looks mean with this particular coloring.
Small nitpicks with the item are a loose air brake and loose wrists. I believe these problems are regular with this series and are pretty small nitpicks.
This is obviously a piece for older collectors and not a kids toy. If you want something for them, the Bandai 1/55 figures are very durable figures.

Revoltech #34 Macross Valkyrie VF-1J Figure Robotech (Toy) Review

(More customer reviews)What caught my eye about this figure is that it's colored the same way as the battloid shown in the opening sequence of Robotech. But what I didn't know was the scale. In fact, on the box, it says, "Non-scale Action Figure from 'THE SUPER DIMENSION FORTRESS MACROSS'". This figure measures about 4.5 inches tall. The paint job is excellent, and you have four different hand poses: fist, holding the gun pod, a salute, and a "spread". The parts are made of a soft plastic. It's called Revoltech because it has revolving joints.
You have to use the display stand in order for the figure to be upright. For standing poses, you put each foot into a peg on the display stand.
Just looking at this figure is inspiring, and makes me feel nostalgic for those days in the 1980's when Robotech was my after-school TV treat!
