(More customer reviews)This transformer is pretty awesome to look at, but when you actually get into transforming the thing it seems to be pretty delicate. Windows scratch easily and the plastic parts are very flimsy. It's kind of scary to transform unless you aren't afraid to over do it. In car form, it seems to be very durable because of it's die cast metal. It looks just like the MazdaSpeed version of the Rx8. When it's transformed, it's very difficult to have standing on its own. It looks awesome either way. I don't think this kind of toy is great to play with; only to just own and display would probably be it's best purpose...

Transformers Optimus Prime + Trailer Masterpiece MP-04 Action Figure Review

(More customer reviews)First, note that this is NOT for children! It can be considered a toy, yes, but it's really more of a collector's item. Most people that have this probably put it up somewhere for display.
Made of die-cast metal and plastic, this is THE definitive Optimus Prime toy. The transformation is complicated, but after a few times you'll get the hang of it. The detail on this figure is quite impressive, with fully moveable fingers, a moving mouthpiece, and all of his weapons (including the energy ax seen in the first episode). He even comes with a miniature transformed Megatron (in gun form to be held in his hand) for the few times the two have had to team up together.
The MP-04 comes with an actual plastic trailer, as opposed to the MP-01 which had no trailer. The trailer is large enough to fit an alternator/binaltech transformer in vehicle mode (maybe two), and has a gun that can poke out over the top in vehicle mode.
All in all this is hands-down the best Transformer ever, and its diecast metal makes it surprisingly durable. The memories that this toy will bring to fans of the original are priceless, and it is quite worth the cost. Highly recommended.

Transformers Optimus Prime Mp-04 Masterpiece Convoy With Trailer Review

(More customer reviews)Takara's MP-4 Convoy with Trailer is the best Optimus Prime ever made. He stands a full foot tall. The Legs and chest are die cast. The plastic is heavy duty. The toy weighs several pounds as a result. Also comes with the long transforming trailer (absent Roller the mini car).
The smokestacks are long (in the Hasbro version they are short) and both the stacks and gas tanks on each leg are coated in a shiny silver plastic (rather than the dull grey used in the Hasbro verson).
The transformation is much more complex, but can be learned by following the photo directions.
The main blaster weapon is silver, but Prime also comes with his orange energon ax from the cartoon, and a small non-transformable Megatron in gun mode as used by Prime in one episode of the 1980's cartoon.
Prime also comes with the Autobot Matrix of leadership in his chest, which brightly lights up when inside his chest cavity by pushing a button located on top of his cab.
Both his robot and truck modes are detailed to look just like the cartoon/comic/movie version of Prime. Very easily posed. No doubt the best Transformer ever made or offered on the market today.

I was extremely happy when I got it . It is a great figure and it comes with a cardboard trailer! It is a repaint of the prime I mentioned earlier but has longer smokestacks . This is how Ultra Magnus MP02 Convoy is reallly supposed to look.
