Corvette Indy, 1/43 Scale Review

(More customer reviews)Just under four and a half inches long and about an inch and a half wide, this model of the Chevrolet Corvette Indy is made in China and numbered 4013 by whoever made it. This is a bit lower on details and higher on durability, so I'd say it leans more toward being a toy. But with a number of plastic parts that can be broken off if one tries hard enough, this model might present a certain hazard to small children. I'd say it is certainly safe for anyone at age 10 and above, though. Anyway, the wheels spin and the rearmost component of the bubble canopy opens to reveal a none-too-impressive replica engine, and that's about all has for notable functions or movable parts. This model, and those also from whoever made it, have always struck me as being a tad on the cheap side. But it's pretty nicely detailed and usually doesn't cost too much, so it's all right. Overall, I'd say it's worth buying.

The door that you push in to send the car shooting through the loop when you release the spring - it frequently would be misaligned and would not push back. This caused my child to be very frustrated. When it worked it was great, but it worked so infrequently that I'm not inclined to buy any more 'Diego' character products.

(More customer reviews)This is a great toy with lots of detail. It is durable and our grandchildren love to play with it. It is a little pricey, especially for a plastic model, however it has great detail, is durable, and given the decline in quality of TONKA, ERTEL, and the rest of the mainstays I grew up with, it is a good value with lots of fun built in. Not as durable as the old metal trucks but this is the best I have found available today.
