(More customer reviews)This reel fits all my vintage American-made fishing poles--Eagle Claw to Shakespeare--with no problem. I still own an older, original model 11 which I fell in love with for its price, smooth and effortless function, amazing cast-ability, light weight, longevity and like most reels, corrosion resistance, but eventually wore it out from years of use. So naturally I got one of these new ones with all the snazzy ball bearings. Casting and retrieving with it are second nature and it casts long and reels in fast. It is very ergonomically designed. If you know and favor trigger-operated spin-cast reels, you'll love this jem, and it is at least as smooth as my first one . Unfortunately it's mighty glossy and shiny (unlike my first one) and made in China, not USA, like Zebcos once were, so you may notice very slight imperfections, but overall it's very well made. I've tried four other micro, trigger spin-cast reels by other well known manufacturers and don't like any of them as much. They collect dust now.
