He knows the P51 from History Channel's Dogfights.BTW, the Amazon site lists the same model for $24.95 and $65.00 (today) depending on vendor. Shop carefully. It is actually better than it looks on the website.
I doubt that anything is durable enough for a four year old, but the construction is quite good, the parts fit nicely, the landing gear retract (with some effort and touch required on the tail gear.) For an adult, it would last a lifetime. He hasn't broken it yet and he hasn't put it down.
My grandson's favorite plane is the Bf (Me)- 109. (They tend to have the most daring and skilled pilots.) I'll have to consider getting a Unimax copy for his birthday.
UPDATE: Two months later, he's turned five, got the Bf-109 for his birthday (also fantastic!) and still hasn't damaged the P51! And he still loves it.
