(More customer reviews)This is a recent release courtesy of Eaglemoss Publications Ltd, a British company that has put out a series of die cast DC Universe figures, each with a magazine accompaniment giving the history, powers and current story of that character.
I go crazy for the Marvel Family in any form, and after picking up the Eaglemoss Black Adam I was full of anticipation for the Big Red Cheese himself.
Being die-cast metal, the figure (statue really) is pretty heavy even though it is small. It is exactly the same height as the DC Universe Infinite Heroes Crisis Shazam, which is also a cool figure. The pose is pretty classic Captain Marvel, with the cape swept over one shoulder and a big smile on his face.
I actually like this pose better than the Infinite Heroes figure, which had a Superman-length cape instead of Captain Marvel's half-cape and a too-serious face. The face isn't perfect here, and could have been more in the C.C. Beck-style, but it does look good and the attention to detail on the costume is nice.
I will definitely pick up the next Marvel Family release in the Eaglemoss series, which is supposed to be Mary Marvel in her black Countdown to Final Crisis costume.
