Thomas the Train: Take-n-Play Harold And The Search Cars Review

(More customer reviews)I was looking for the retractable Harold with the magnet and stumbled across this. I was worried it would be too small to pick up the wooden cargo loads, but it works perfectly!! Kids won't get frustrated with this Harold. With the retractable Harold kids could have problems lining up the string with the loads. This one all you have to do is place it over the cargo load and go. The magnet hold is actually better with the wooden railway than the take n play pieces. The plastic loads it comes with do not stay well and you have to line them up perfectly to get it to attach. This is not the case with he wooden loads. I would defiantly recommend this for the wooden railway. I can see myself buying another to stop fighting over it. The only thing about this is that it is heavy. If a small child were to throw it it could definitely do some damage.

Daisy is one of my son's favorites, and the train looks great. He loves it, and being die cast I know it will hold up to the beating he'll likely give it.

We have the Misty Island story book and my son wants to read it every night before bed. I purchase items from Amazon a lot, but I always check to see if someone else has the same item for a better price, and Walmart sells this set for $39.97. I wish they also sold the new characters Dash and Bash to go with the set.

This is called Take Along Thomas for a reason, as it is tiny and cute and can go anywhere and may prove a little more durable than wooden Thomas. At least it is more disposable than the highly collectible wooden counterpart. This has been a great product thus far and you seem to get more for your money, parts wise.

Thomas & Friends Take N Play Talking Percy Train Engine Review

(More customer reviews)The kid wanted a talking Percy train, and he got one. But the train we received from this shipper is not as pictured in the product listing. It's a "special" talking Diesel Works Percy train. So it looks the same as the regular talking Percy, but says rather boring things about the Diesel Works (not the usual "bust my buffers" etc. that these talking trains do). I would have preferred the train shown in the picture which is the regular talking Percy. It will now be a gift for another boy who won't care that it's not the regular Percy, but I would have probably returned/exchanged it if it was for my somewhat pickier son.

(More customer reviews)I got this for my nephew, who currently loves anything Thomas or Bob the Builder. It's actually for hid birthday, but we couldn't wait to give it to him. When we first showed him the waterfall, he loved it, and almost the entire time we were babysitting him (around 6 hours) he played with the waterfall. Overall, I think this toy is great for anyone who loves thomas!

Thomas the Train: Take-n-Play Knapford Station Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my son who is 2 and an avid Thomas the Train fan. It works great in that it connects easily to his other Take N Play track pieces.The only problem I ran into with this particular pieces is that when you go by the passenger pick up station on the loop track you push the train over this kind of turning wheel thing that makes the passengers disappear from the passenger pickup station. The problem with this pieces is that the turn table thing sits so high up off the track that it almost derails the train. Also my son never just plays with one train, he is always connecting several trains together usually a good 5 or 6 together at a time. If you try to push more than one train over that turn table all the the other trains derail and become disconnected. Overall though except for this minor fault the station is great.

(More customer reviews)This is one tough toy - thanks to its die cast construction. Both of my kids love pushing the button to hear him speak and whistle (at least 6 different phrases and sounds). It gets lots of play time, and is dropped quite a bit (not on purpose though) by our 1 year old as she carries him from room to room. He just keeps on chugging along as you push him. While it's dissapointing that these metal trains do not run on the wooden railway system, they make great floor toys with their free wheeling and extreme durability. Parents do need to be vigilant with their little ones, though, as these trains are quite heavy and will hurt if dropped on little feet, fingers or heads. But for kids who are un-intentionally rough on their toys, these trains will undoubtedly be the last toys standing after years of play. Highly highly recommended, not only by my kids, but me too.
