(More customer reviews)I'm a big fan of Learning Curve, and I was happy to find out that the Chuggington train series is compatible with the Take Along tracks & station sets (which have been renamed as Take N Play) because I did not want more train tracks in the house, but my son loves Chuggington as much as Thomas & friends, so I decided to use the new trains as part of a reward system.
Unfortunately, these trains are not magnetic like the Thomas trains, but connect with little plastic fittings; I do not recommend getting these trains for kids who are still putting things in their mouths. Other than the way they connect to one another, they are built exactly like the Thomas Take Along trains -- same size, metal & paint.
I also recommend getting the Chuggington Die-Cast Wilson Carry Case, which has 17 slots.

(More customer reviews)Bought this for my son for the holiday. He was very excited to start playing with all the "Maters". However - much to our dismay, within 1 hour of light play, we have had to super glue multiple parts back together, items are falling apart, and we have spent more time shelving the items to wait for super glue to dry than actually playing. Really wanted this to be a great gift, but it is turning out to be quite a disappointment because of the poor quality/durability.

DELUXE MILITARY DIE CAST TOY TANKS - 3 PIECE SET Review

(More customer reviews)These tanks are durable and attractive. However, the gun turrets turn only slightly, limiting the movement of a tank's gun to a forward position. Any other toy tank I've ever seen had a turret that swiveled 360 degrees. Also, the gun barrel has very limited vertical movement. These limitations restrict overall play. The price is a bit high but since these are made of metal, not too far off line with other high-piced toys. Keep in mind that these tanks are packaged in threes, so if you want two equal "armies," you have to buy two packages (which is what I did for my two grandsons), or any other even number.

Chuggington Die-Cast Wilson Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered a three-pack of Wilson, Koko and Brewster. While they're very cute, and seem sturdy enough, they are somewhat stand-alone trains as they are not comparable with the width of regular tracks. I have a wooden track set from Ikea, which is the same size as the standard track from Target or the Melissa & Doug sets. These trains are much too narrow to fit on those tracks. Also, they have a ball/hook attachment, rather than a magnet, so they aren't comparable with other train sets (unlike the Thomas trains, which do fit with the Ikea trains. The Thomas trains are also slightly narrower than the track I have, although my toddler seems to make it work).
However, the main issue is the price on Amazon. I purchased my set directly from the Chuggington website, which is a fraction of the price compared to Amazon's retailers.
They're cute, and I think will hold up reasonably well (the train itself is die-cast, but the wheels and undercarriage are plastic) but it's too bad they aren't compatible with the dozens of tracks I already own.
