(More customer reviews)This is a very nice model in 1/18th scale Dioecast metal. The doors, hood, Trunk open. and the wheels are steerable. The interior detail is ok. The drawback to this particular model is that it is supposed to be all stock. meanimng no medifications. Howere the Paint is a Candy Apple Red. which was not a stock color for Ford at any time. In their History. The engine leaves a lot to be desired in that it has no features. Such as one would expect to see like Spark Plug Wires, Battery Cables and so on. The entire engine is done in a gloss green plastic. and even though the shape is right? The engine looks very much like an after thought.
Which is really too bad. Collectors want to see a little more detail under the hood. Rather than a green plastic lump. Which totally detracts from the total cars apperance. Until some one brings out a better detailed 1940 Fiord Coupe? In it's origonal color. With more detail done to the engine? I am afraid that this is what we are stuck with.. Its an Ok model for a starter collector. Or until another obe is made with better care. And not just made to "be there": you know?
Then this look more like a "Toy" and a half hearted attempt.
