(More customer reviews)I bought this microscope for my 8-year-old daughter. Unfortunately, the lenses are such poor quality that it's hard to differentiate your sample from the goobers in the glass. The eyepiece, for example, has an imperfection that bisects the view. You can barely make out protozoa, but only when they swim in the right place. This scope was a big disappointment. I did not expect to teach my kid microbiology, but I did hope to show her some of the microscopic world.

(More customer reviews)We purchased this microspcope for our 9 year old so we weren't expecting it to be a professional tool. We are very disappointed by how it will only focus in the lowest setting. Controls are not tight. It is clearly meant to be just a toy and nothing else. A waste of money and the compnay is arguing over a return of the item.

The Smithsonian 900X Microscope is a super safe microscope set! No glass or sharp instruments are used. It features a durable, die-cast microscope body. View objects 900 times larger than their actual size. Three interchangeable objective lenses with powers of 100x, 450x and 900x allow you to closely examine your subjects. There's even a four-color rotating color filter under the stage. A light source provides illumination of the object that you're viewing, and a mirror reflects light directly onto the slide. The Smithsonian even converts to a projecting microscope. When you're finished viewing, safely secure the included lens cover over the eyepiece. Revell 1/6 Ford 427 Wedge Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this model after seeing it in a store. The store had it for $32 but I found it on Amazon for about $12.50. It is very detailed and pretty easy to assemble. My favorite thing about it is there is no painting required. I remember how much I hated painted models when I was younger.
This model goes together pretty well but I did have to make a few alterations but nothing major. A few of the chrome parts were ever so slightly nicked up but again nothing major. Other than that it was easy to assemble with no problems at all.
This is a skill level 2 model kit so advanced model builders wouldn't be too interested. I wanted a little project to work on but nothing too involving and this was perfect. It took me a week and after finding a display case to fit it into, it is a nicely detailed piece on my shelf

(More customer reviews)Although this item was purchased for my brother who is in auto mechanic school I asked him about it. First off, the delivery was extremely quick. He loved the item and said he had no trouble at all assembling it. In fact, he wanted to know if there is another available that's a little more difficult to assemble. I'm assuming he needs to assemble and disassemble various models and be timed. His classmates saw the item and inquiried if he would be able to let them know where the item was purchased so I would say the item was a hit, easy to assemble, and the delivery was fast!
