(More customer reviews)Suggest all READ before they purchase this Ferrari F50. The Descriptions for this Ferrari F50 from this vendor bounce between 1:18 scale and 1:43 scale.
In the "Product Features" section it states "Timeless 1:18 scale Ferrari".
In the "Product Description" section it states "1:43 Elite Ferrari".
And if you read the "Customer Review" from "darkbond" he was under the impression from the ad it was also 1:18 !
NOT, it was 1:43.
I almost ordered it, but had the good sense to read the customer review first.

The doors open and close, the steering wheel turns the wheels. It also has a spare tire and very realistic engine parts. If you are a fan of Hot Wheels and die cast cars this is a must have to add to your collection.

This particular model is inferior to other models as far as quality of pieces and their matching. My daughter actually insisted on leaving this comment for other people to know.

Maisto 1:18 AL Ferrari F50: Assembly Line Model Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this Maisto 1:18 Ferrari F50 assembly line kit because it has become somewhat difficult to find a decent quality 1:18 Ferrari F50 at a reasonable price. That being said I've found this kit to contain more detail than my older Burago 1:18 Ferrari F40. For example the seats are painted so they have red seating surfaces with black trim. There are disc brake rotors hiding behind the wheels. However as the name implies this Miasto kit has to be assembled by the purchaser.
The included instructions are all picture based. There is no text so it may take a re-read or two to understand certain assembly steps. All in all the Maisto is less difficult to assemble than a typical plastic glue together car model. Total assembly time took about four hours but I was taking my time. Some sticker labels need to be applied such as the gauge cluster in the dashboard, the license plate and the shiny surfaces for the door and rear view mirrors. I only wish Maisto had not pre-applied the Ferrari badges and marque to the pre-painted metal body of the car. Who ever applied these stickers did not do a very careful job making sure the stickers were aligned properly. Of the four stickers pre-applied to the car body, I would only judge one of them to be decently lined up. It would have been so much better if the car body stickers came on their own sheet. This kit includes a set of silver wheels and a set of shiny chrome plated wheels. Also included is a small screw driver for use during assembly.
In the end this kit is an adequate likeness of the Ferrari F50 as long as you don't expect AutoArt level detail. Then again AutoArt 1:18 cars retail for over $100 per car these days. My first choice would have been a pre-assembled car but for the price of this kit I found it worth the minor inconvenience.

Maisto 1:24 Al Ferrari Enzo: Assembly Line Model Kit Review

(More customer reviews)My 8 year old daughter wanted a model kit to put together. Given that I didn't want her messing with glue, scalpel blades, or paint for her first model kit, I figured that this would be a great introduction into putting a car together.
The die cast body, plastic base and rubber tires are true to scale and detail.
WHAT IS IN THE BOX?
Die cast metal body
Plastic wheels (gray and chrome)
Rubber tires
Decals
Screwdriver
Component Parts (seats, engine, steering wheel, gear shift, mirrors)
Full color instructions
ASSEMBLY
The assembly is the educational aspect of the item. The nice thing is that you don't need glue! Parts just snap right in.
The packaging was frustration free with just a few strips of tape holding the various parts. The instructions are straightforward. My daughter was able to assemble this toy within 20 minutes (including opening the package).
CONSTRUCTION
The die-cast metal body allows the doors to open. The glossy finish is durable and easy to wipe down. Although my daughter intends on playing with this item, it is suitable for a collector to display in a case.
The wheels are interchangeable and the process is easy. The placement of the tires was the most challenging part for my daughter to assemble.
VERDICT
This is a fun activity for an entry into assembling model cars. The construction of the model is great for displaying or for an older child to play with.
However, given the small parts, caution should be taken if you have younger children (under 6) and pets).
Highly recommend.

This is one of two of my first diecast to order and see that is there is a difference in manufactures.

These are the exact same cars you get form the other stores. But that being said I got the car in a timely manner and it was in great shape.

One note of caution, though, is that you might not get the same 5 Ferraris as pictured. I ordered this, and got a different set of Ferraris that I already had instead of those shown in the picture. I don't know if that's a problem with the 3rd party vendor who sent it, or something else, as it was not worth it for me to complain further for a few bucks. At any rate, if you are trying to complete a collection then consider this a warning. If you are just looking for a nice set of 5 generic Ferraris, then this is a convenient and great buy.

(More customer reviews)This car is cool to look at, but immediately after my 3-y-o nephew took it out of the box, parts started falling off. The windows fell out and some other pieces fell off. The car still rolled, and so he still enjoyed it, but it was very, very cheaply made. Definitely do not give this car to any child who still puts things in his or her mouth. There are better choices out there.
