Most room for creative play, and he was able to assemble it himself after we showed him the first time. The smokestacks and mirrors come off kind of easily, but overall it's lots of fun, and not totally limiting the way the other Mack's are...

The movie characters from the Disney/Pixar hit CARS come to life with these Mini Mega Blok figures that you can build and rebuild. Which means you can use the cars to recreate your favorite scenes from the movie -- or imagine up completely new adventures for Mack and Lightning to embark on. Mack is the big hauler and loyal Lightning friend that doubles as storage unit for the smaller car. Disney Cars Mack Truck Runaway Racer Set with Lightning McQueen Car Review

(More customer reviews)My son loves Cars and is collecting each of the Matchbox type cars. He said he wanted a Mac, so I found this one on-line. I was extremly disappointed in the truck, especially for the price. It is cheap plastic and the trailer doesn't not click onto the front of the truck. Therefore, it pops right off all of the time. It would be better if the truck was either one piece or would snap together so as not to fall apart by a slight touch.

(More customer reviews)We purchased for our nephew. Read other reviews and chose this vendor as it states that the McQueen Die Cast is included which I thought justified the higher price. Good thing we checked on Christmas eve as there was no car. The box also had a sticker that stated exclusively for Toys are US. We made a quick trip to Toys are Us to purchase the car only to see the same toy for $17.99 not even close to the $29 and change plus shiping they are charging. Would not recommend this vendor for anything.

Cars Supercharged Fillmore Diecast Car Review

(More customer reviews)My older son is big into Pixar Cars; he loves the movie, the short clips, and the story books, and he is so big into Sarge and Fillmore. Subsequently, we bought him Sarge as a Shake n Go car and this version of Fillmore, which he adores! The color, the shape, and the feel of the toy are just right. For amazing looking Pixar Cars let me also recommend the Boot Camp military-themed 6-pack gift set along with the fire-themed 6-pack gift set! 5 Stars!

Disney Mack Truck Playset Review

(More customer reviews)My son loves this toy (he's [...]), it allows McQueen to do many activities inside Mack. It is thin plastic though and seems like it would break easily if it fell or was thrown. As it is, sometimes when he plays it, pieces come off easily-though they pop back on quickly. If you have infants at home, I would steer clear of this toy for that reason. If it were a little sturdier, I would have given it 5 stars.

(More customer reviews)I was disappointed with the quality of the toy. The latches for it to open and close are cheap and will undoubtedly break. The manufacturers know this is going to be played with, opened and closed, by a little person who might not take the time to be careful. I would think buckle type latches would have been better. Furthermore, I saw a similar style carrier at job lot for 5.00 and I think that price was much more worthy of the item. Especially since after shipping I paid nearly 26 bucks for this thing. I would not recommend to a friend.

(More customer reviews)I originally bought this for my son as a birthday present, but decided to give it to him today as a reward for being good during a long day of shopping. I am very glad I didn't save it for his birthday. First and foremost, Lightning McQueen doesn't come with this playset! You have to have a spare Lightning on hand for your child to be able to play. I'm not sure how Mattel thought they were getting away with selling a playset touted as "Lightning McQueen's action-packed home on wheels," without actually including a car for a child to play with.
Secondly, the "amenities" are seriously lacking. The "7 play features" are simply levers that move in different directions.
That said, Mack himself is well-done and is a nice size for little hands. It's not a huge toy, which doesn't make it a burden to store.
I, however, would not buy this toy again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

With a bed pad loaded with play features, the Mack Truck playset from Mattel is inspired by the hit Pixar movie, "Cars." Recommended for children ages four and up, this action-packed home on wheels, allows kids to bring their imagination to life.
Fast, Exciting Play Fans of the film, and all its fun, friendly characters, will remember Mack as the friend of Lightning McQueen -- the hot shot racing rookie -- whose image is on the side of the trailer. Not only is the adorable red semi truck transportation for McQueen, Mack is also a "bachelor pad" for the racecar with seven different play features, including a weight machine, car lift for repairs, game station, and more. (More customer reviews)Our three year old son received Mack from his uncle for his birthday. He loves it! He plays with it every day. He and his twin sister put Lightning McQueen in the back and pretend to wash him, brush his teeth and get him oil from the refrigerator. I liked that this 2008 model comes with Lightning McQueen instead of having to purchase him separately. I would agree with some of the reviews from the older model that the plastic does seem a little cheap and flimsy in some of the smaller parts. But, so far it has held up to daily play by two three year olds without breaking.

Cars Mack Hauler Review

(More customer reviews)Contrary to my 2-year-old's reaction when I opened this truck, I was a bit disappointed. We'd already purchased my son all the available die-cast cars from Disney and he really wanted a "Mack" too. So we bought this one. While the truck portion of it is die-cast, the trailer is plastic. I guess I shouldn't have expected it to be all metal, as that would make it too heavy. But I thought it was kind of "cheapy". The trailer opening was flimsy and I suspected it would quickly break under the abuse of a 2-year-old.
Race forward 3 months...KACHOW!! Mack is still in one piece and has been played with hours on end! My son is never without Mack (with McQueen in the trailer, of course). He carries it around everywhere. Like previous viewers mentioned, he loves to put McQueen in/out of the trailer. This was absolutely worth the purchase. Thinking back, I didn't buy this for myself; it was for my son. Why was I so critical of the toy when my son's eyes lit up as soon as he saw it? From my son's perspective, this toy deserves 5+ stars. And mom's rating is also 5+. My son loves the truck and it has lasted all the hours of play/abuse. I have yet to find any pieces come off, even after being dropped several times. Now mommy has to get what my son calls "King Mack" and "Chick Hicks Mack". :0) Any "Car's" loving kiddo will love this!
