(More customer reviews)My son who is now 3 1/2 got this Luigi's Casa Della Tires Playset last year for Christmas. He was super excited to get this and play with it. He does enjoy playing with it and loves to turn on the light-up sign, but I on the other hand, think that this is cheaply made and you can forget about the tire tower ever staying up. The slightest bump topples the tire tower over and my son gets really frustrated. The other thing with this is that the set opens up, and with that side that opens, hinges hold it together. These hinges come apart from the other main piece very easily, so I am always trying to snap it back together. I actually bought this at a local Toys R Us for $24.99, so the price listed here is more than I payed, but I would never pay more than what I did for this, and now that I see the "quality" of it, I wouldn't of payed what I did. Even though I complain of the quality and durability, my son is still a Disney "Movie Cars" fanatic and still enjoys this. He also recieved the Flo's Cafe and that one is a HIT! Way better and I would recommend that one over this set any day. I purchased the Flo's Cafe at Toys R Us as well for $29.99 about a year ago. My son still plays with it at least 5 times a week.

This exact replica is very detailed right down to the 1959 Cadilac tail lights that were only on the real thing for a short while. The model comes with working head/tail lights and is displayed on a 3 pylon monorail beam. Also included is a monorail pin. This edition is limited to 1959 pieces.

Disney Cars: Flo's V8 Café Playset Review

(More customer reviews)This is the nicest set out of the four sets. Flo's lights up like the other ones, but the fact that they can "fuel up" is so neat. Also, there is a secret room at the top, too cool. However, this toy is so hard to find. I had to search for a long time to come across one finally on Amazon. There is just not enough of these to meet the demand. Flo's V-8 Cafe is the most popular set and just look at it, it's great. It is so popular and hard to find right now (end of June beginning of July 2006) and people are paying around $50 for this set on e-bay, before they were going for around $100. K-B Toys had it for pre-sale, but it sold out within a day. PRE-SALE!!!! I can't believe it. I let it pass by, but then a month later Amazon had it and I bought it and they offered Free Super Saver Shipping on this item. This is such a cool toy. I am so excited to have gotten one for my son.
The set lights up and takes batteries. It connects to the other three sets so that you can make Radiator Springs. I would reccommned it for 4 year olds and up. Small details could get broken by a younger child. Plus, this may very well be a collectors item later on. You never know.
Highly reccommended for children and adult collectors alike.

NEW Walt Disney World Deluxe Monorail Train Playset Toy Epcot Scale Model Train System Review

(More customer reviews)I was amazed to see the negative reviews for the Disney monorail, however, I do agree that the current version is not necessarily suitable for small children as parts are easy to take off and the figures are very small. But for ADULT collectors, this is a wonderful model and older versions and accessories have become VERY collectable - I've seen the original Epcot Spaceship Earth (the one where the monorail can pass right through) selling for $300 and the Polynesian Resort for around $500. Monorail Purple is rare, so fetches good three-figures sums also.
As for the person who said the box shows six cars, but the set contains five ... the six car picture is a photograph of the real thing; however, the box has windows and you can clearly see that the model has five units - so unless you bought it with your eyes closed, you can hardly complain!
If you are going to set this up, you do need quite a lot of space - 61" x 49" needed for the basic set.
I have four sets - Black, Red, Gold and Blue (Blue being one of the new versions with opening doors) - and additional track. I know a lot of people run these as part of their Christmas displays and videos of some layouts can be seen on You Tube.
So, in summary, a great toy for older children (think ages 11 and above, rather than the 4+ suggested on the box) and a great collector item for adult Disney or rail fans.

Matchbox Sky Busters Hangar Playset Review

(More customer reviews)I recently bought this for my 4-yr old son who LOVES all of the Matchbox Skybuster planes. He went crazy for it but I think it is cheaply made. After purchasing from a large local retailer we went home and opened the box to discover 5 missing parts. I called Mattel and they said that the product is so new that they didn't show it in their system yet and that they would research it and call me back. Normally I would just exchange at the store but this was the only one. The box was completely brand new and never tampered with so I know it wasn't picked through at the store to justify the missing parts. The planes are very hard to attach to the unit and they have to be put on just right to stay. For the price it's ok but time will only tell if my son will play with it after the newness wears off. I thought it would be a great toy since the other Skybuster products seemed to get great reviews but I'm not that impressed. There are no sounds or lights so...

My son loves them because for him they are not so small and we can easily take them anywhere. They have good detail and entertain him for long periods. I like that they are faily accurate and we can watch videos of the same planes on the internet. Although a couple of wheels have fallen of, they have stood up to serious abuse and are of good quality.

(More customer reviews)This set was the first of 4 Matchbox playsets that my son received for Christmas. He received it at a pre-Christmas gift exchange and all my kids (age 2, 3 1/2 and 5 1/2) had such a fabulous time playing with it that we got him 2 more for Christmas and he bought one himself with a gift card.
The car wash is a pretty simple playset, but all the kids love it. So I bought one for my nephew's birthday and he's having a blast with it as well.
You can put water in it to really "wash" the cars, but I left it dry to avoid any messes. They haven't seemed to mind at all.
I love that there aren't a bunch of small pieces to fall off and get lost. It's definitely been a hit at our house.
We also have the Police Station (similar size) and the larger Haunted House and Buried Treasure sets. They are all wonderful.

The trailer is a toy hauler - the toys come with the trailer along with animals as this is hunting themed. If your child is fascinated with hunting or just camping - this is an excellent toy! My nephew gave me a big hug and kiss and said it was the best birthday present ever!!! How is that for a review??
