It was inevitable that Hot Wheels would one day add the long running Rigor Motor to their Fright Cars range and it happened in 2006 (not 2007 as whoever made this page has put). Rigor Motor first appeared on shelves in the early 90s as a red car with white skulls in front of the engine. Yes there are little black skulls in front of the engine, one of many little details that are a pleasant surprise when you open this after buying online from what's, lets be honest a bit average looking side view. There have been over 20 releases of different coloured Rigor Motors over the years and with the 2006 Fright Car Range (I need to emphasize this is 2006 and not 2007 as 2007 Fright Cars come with a different blister card behind them), you've got a golden coloured body, with black exhaust pipes and front skull grill. The engine is silver and the coffin window seat area is a black see through plastic. The driver obviously was either really short while alive, or not buried with his legs as the coffin is cut short by the engine where the leg third would normally be. There is no driver included in the actual car. Another surprise if seeing from online images is that there is a little silver bat hood ornament lying on the front. The decals on the coffin sort of resemble a face.
This is also the closest looking to the blister card image that comes with all the 2006 Fright Car series. Still a long way off and it's a shame Hot Wheels never released that car as part of the Fright car series. You can get one like it called Bone Crusher which has been released numerous times inthe basic mass produced range, although none have included the skeleton driver.
You can also get Rigor Motor in the earlier 2002 Halloween Highway series in black with a vampire face on the coffin.
