(More customer reviews)One of my best male friends always raves about his old 1967 Cougar of years past -- the first '60s-era car he ever owned, and indisputably his favorite. I always wonder why guys like him end up selling those cars, only to pine over them years later like they would an old girlfriend. Regardless, 2010 was a fairly rough year for him overall, so I was looking for something pretty special to liven up his Christmas. This diecast car was just the ticket.
First of all, let me say that Amazon.com and their sponsored seller, Diecast Models Wholesale, were on top of things from the start: I received several e-mails within hours of the the sale informing me of the shipment details and tracking numbers. The item arrived promptly and fabulously packaged for a safe shipment!
As for the model car itself, it's exquisite! In fact, it was so nice that I almost changed my mind about giving it as a gift! It would have looked great on my curio shelf, next to my granny's antique glassware, and my friend would likely have been none the wiser when he received a fruitcake instead as his Christmas present. But, determined to do the right thing, I gave it away as planned, and he telephoned me immediately after opening it to praise it and to thank me. (*Sniff*)
Now I guess I might have to go back on site to find a diecast replica just for me!
