(More customer reviews)This is the Electric Company Utility van vehicle that came out in Johnny Lightning's original Monopoly release of 12 vehicles in 2000. It's one of six white (well pale greeny off white) vehicles in the first series. There were actually quite a few different series of Monopoly themed vehicles released after the initial 12 (which were incidentally released again with six additional vehicles as series 2). This van has less detail on it's paintwork than the rest of the vehicles in release one. The van also has the biggest canvas of all vehicles available, its roof. Yet it is one of the few vehicles there are no little Monopoly pictures of the old moustache guy or anything else. Huge missed opportunity there. The only pictures on the van are a yellow light bulb on the sides, the words ELECTRIC COMPANY in black text capital letters and the white texted inside red rectangle Monopoly symbol is on the top rear sides of the van (where a window would go if it was converted to a passenger vehicle). Both the light bulb and red rectangle are on the rear doors as well. Light bulb and capital letters are on the bonnet too.
Like all did in the first release it comes with a bonus playing token version of the same car which is also very well detailed.
Johnny Lightning pretty much always make great vehicles, with attention to detail far better than anything Matchbox, Hot Wheels and other rivals put out, there's nothing wrong with this van, it's just that most other vehicles in this series and subsequent Monopoly releases look a lot better and have had more effort put into them.
