I thought they were kidding when I ordered one but to my delight, when I opened the box, there was a well tooled little replica of a red Ferrari. The pictures do it no justice - unlike the plastic toys from other manufacturers, this model is nice enough to sit on a display shelf.
I fired it up and found that it runs just fast enough to keep you on your toes through the kitchen, down the hall and back through the dining room. Two at different frequencies would provide some good racing. Bright white headlights come on when you're going forward - good for night racing - and red tail lights come on in reverse. Very cool.
Controls are basic as they are with all cars in this price range: Full speed or full turn, so you drive by letting off either for a moment, then back on. Charging is quick and the car goes for a good 6-10 minutes before it needs another.
Caution: Give the floor (track) a good dusting before you drive. If you roll over hair and dust and it gets wrapped around an axle, you'll have to unscrew the chassis from the body (easy to do) and pull the stuff off with tweezers. You will need a jeweler's sized Philips (not included).
Most fun I've had under $20 for a long time.
