(More customer reviews)I own quite a few of the Monopoly series die-cast vehicles and to be honest only got this one because it was sold in a batch of three with the Monopoly Go to Jail Bus and another of release 3 that I really wanted. When I'd seen this in online photos, I thought it looked pretty average and not a realistic looking car like most of the others in the series are. However now that I have it in the flesh (well metal) so to speak it doesn't look quite as bad, although the front grill still looks terrible and fake. In fact the decals on it are very well done of Mr Monopoly wearing a giant shoe and advancing to go, the same as the Community Chest card image in the game. Actually this car being called Community Chess is a bit misleading as it actually has both the Chance and Community Chess wording on it. Chance is on the roof (see my customer image). The car is the pale green colour of most of the original board.
Like all the Johnny Lightning Monopoly vehicles it comes with a bonus game token which resembles the die-cast car. Actually this one least resembles the car out of the entire six releases as it doesn't have the bits of metal dragging out the back or exhaust pipes coming from the undercarriage sides of the car. Like all of the release 3 vehicles the bonus token is gold coloured instead of silver or grey of the other 5 releases.
There were actually quite a few different series of Monopoly themed vehicles released after the initial 12 cars (which were incidentally released again with six additional vehicles as series 2). The 5th and 6th were both called 70th Anniversary Release. Johnny Lightning pretty much always make great vehicles, with attention to detail far better than anything Matchbox, Hot Wheels and other rivals put out and the Monopoly series is one of their best!
