Transformers Universe Autobot Ambush - Roadbuster and Dirge Review

(More customer reviews)I've been a transformers fan for about a year now and this is the first review I've written about one...or in this case two.They are two old
transformers characters represented in new bodies.Both look excellent in vehicle mode,especially Roadbuster.Roadbuster is my favorite of the two,but Dirge is just as awesome as Roadbuster.In robot modes,they both have several gimmicks.Roadbuster has two machine guns,which with the help of a special key,flip open to reveal a lot of (non-firing)missles.He also has four panels which flip to reveal even more missiles,not to mention a knife he can hold in his hand.Dirge has a working missile launcher and two key activated blades.Both are very posable,and the transformation on both is easy,with the help of instructions,which are more helpful than usual.Both are highly recommended,especially now that Target has them for $20.88 in the clearence isle.

Titanium Series Star Wars 3 Inch Royal Guard Tie Interceptor Review

It is missing the side "winglets", but I'll take what I can get.
I'm impressed that this one is all metal with no plastic pieces on it. This one also lacks the pilots door found on the standard tie, and the "glass" in front. (its just metal that is painted black)
The one I received was painted very well, and a lot more detailed than I expected it to be. The engine in back is actually painted blue (on mine).. weird.
The only downside is its attachment to the stand. The stands are all the same, however the hole that you put the stand in is too big. The stand doesn't fit well. Its a bit loose, causing the model to droop. swapping out the stand with other titanium stands wont work.. they are all the same.

Gort Die-Cast Wind-Up Review

(More customer reviews)I bought 2 of these, one for my husband and one for my 4 year old son. They both love it, but my husband has hidden his from his son for now! My son hasn't broken it, so it seems rather durable. He keeps it in his box and is careful not to misplace the key!

1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Pink Diecast Model 1:18 Die Cast Car Review

(More customer reviews)A real 1959 Cadillac El Dorado Biarritz drop-top is a thing of beauty, and in original mint condition can price out at over $300,000.00, a bit more than most of us can afford for a car.
I remember these gorgeous cars on the road way back when. They were the ultimate expression of All-American Harley Earl auto design in the era when Detroit iron ruled the road. What was good for GM was good for the country. And it was true.
Fortunately, Maisto has created a die-cast 1:18 scale model in classic Fifties pink for the rest of us. It's an incredibly complete model too, from the rocket point dagmars on the grille to the 40-inch tailfins. It lacks a working convertible roof, but that is its only drawback. Otherwise, you'll wish you were The Incredible Shrinking Man so you could take it for a spin. What a dream!

Godzilla Japanese Die Cast 7" GD-98 1975 Mecha Godzilla Review

(More customer reviews)My 7 year old son is a Godzilla fanatic and really wanted the Mechagodzilla from the old cheesy movie Terror of Mechagodzilla. This figure has metal parts, is beautifully sculpted and amazingly accurate to the old 1970s movie. My son is very impressed with it and has enjoyed playing with it.

Mattel Hot Wheels 1:50 1966 TV Series Batcycle Review

(More customer reviews)Although this Hot Wheels diecast is nowhere near as accurate as it's companion piece, the 1:50 scale 1966 TV Batmobile, it's still a nice little replica. Informed sources claim that it's based on the old 60's Aurora model kit, scaled down, and a visual comparison of the two does show several matching details.
To be truthful, the toy should more accurately be described as 1:30 scale, as it is larger in comparison to the Batmobile than an actual 1:50 scale toy would be, but if it was in scale to the car, it would be tiny.
While some shapes and proportions are a bit off, it's still a nice looking piece that represents the bike seen in the 1966 movie, and most of the television series, pretty well ( this design was actually the second used - in an early episode there was a far more generic looking cycle, used only once ).
Robin's sidecar go-kart is included and is held in the package by a piece of monofilament, but have no fear; once the filament is removed, the kart can be secured in place in the sidecar on a small post.
Despite it's size, this is more of a display item for the adult collector, rather than a toy for a modern child. While the bike and go-kart do roll, the steering is fixed, and a child would probably be less than enthused about playing with it (especially since there are no accompanying figures of Batman and Robin.
Still for the adult Batman fan, it's a nice little replica that will look very attractive sitting on a shelf or desk.
