(More customer reviews)It's a little hard to understand from the product description, but this set allows for a race between two cars. The race can be triggered by other cars connected to the set externally via existing tracks. So it's both a great standalone set and a great extension to existing sets.
My 5 year old really loves it, and I expect kids up to 9 years old or so to like it as well. The only reason I did not give it five stars is that longer term my son lost some interest in it, even though he will play it once in a while.
