Transformers Alternators - Ford Mustang GT (Wheeljack) Review

Transformers Alternators - Ford Mustang GT (Wheeljack)

Wheeljack is by FAR the most difficult of all Transformers I've ever tried. He is the only one besides RiD Ultra Magnus I've had to use the instructions for, but they are pitifully inadequate. His legs aren't too bad, but his upper body, holy cow! Take my advice and remove the doors (they come off and go back on extremely easily). Even then it's tough, and getting him back is even worse! I relished in the challenge, though, and have managed to become astute at getting him from one mode to the other. It feels strange to take pride in such an accomplishment, but I can't help it.
His Mustang mode looks great though it can be tough to get everything lined up exactly right, and his robot mode is nothing less than impressive! His sword seems kind of stubby, though it actually looks like a sword which is not always the case with American Transformers. His white and blue paint job looks nice, and his head looks like the classic Wheeljack head. His legs look like they ought to be stiff and cumbersome, but they are actually very easy to pose.
The doors can be annoying until you learn how to transform him properly (which is why I say take them off for now), and I had trouble with the piece that connects them to the shoulder. The screw kept falling out of mine (I super glued it finally) which can add to your pains although hopefully that's not common.
Someone asked me once if these were still as fun as they used to be. With Wheeljack's level of difficulty I wouldn't call him "fun," but as a display piece he is virtually unrivaled! Definitely don't buy him for a child's toy.
Availability sucks. I watched for a couple of weeks before I was able to place an order. Coming back to write this review I see that he's already unavailable again. Good look. If you need instructions on his transformation check out www.csspace.com/transformers

I purchased this model for a friend that was a WW2 fighter pilot that flew the P 47. It will be used as a center piece at the restaurant he frequents each morning for breakfast.

This is a ok diecast but it has a huge flaw. The red color is multicolored. Some shades of red on the car are diffrent colors of red. The body is darker than the doors, hood, and trunk. In short buy the Auto Art version of this car it will save you alot of eye ache and wallet ache as well. Given the Auto Art cost more but in the end it is worth it.

Revell 1:24 '65 Mustang 2+2 Fastback Review

The model comes molded in white, clear and chrome plastic parts. You'll need to sand and cut some pieces to make them fit perfectly, but even if you don't have (or don't want to) spend a lot of time building, you will have a fairly good model. The recommended paint scheme is fairly simple, although you will need 10-15 colours, almost all of which can be used for other models because this one requires only touch ups with almost every colour (eg one stroke with transparent orange and transparent red for the taillights and turn signals). Revell produced this model several years ago, and their more recent models are much better in quality and provide more decals for the interior. Also, the body colour as recommended (poppy red) will be hard to find (since it's no longer produced) if you are looking to paint it as on the box. All in all, a great stock muscle car that's better than the '64 stock mustang, but not as good as Revell's currently produced '07242 Shelby Mustang GT 350 H'. This is a plastic model, assembly required.FeaturesNewly restored stock parts, Ford 289 V8 engine, plenty of chrome accessories. When the Mustang coupe and convertible was introduced at the New York Worlds Fair in April of 1964, the automotive buying public went crazy for its stylish new long hood, short deck design. Less than a year later, Ford unleashed its fastback 2+2 body style, proving that lightning can indeed strike twice.

My grandson and I are moderately experienced model builders. He was enthusiastic when he saw the picture of this vintage car. However, we had to give up in frustration partway though building it. We do no recommend it.

I have the Highland Green version of this car. I was a little apprehensive to spend this much on a diecast car, but when I received it, I was amazed at the overall quality. The entire car is lifelike, down to the faux gas cap between the tail lights. It even has the shock tower brace with the id plate on it! If you own a REAL Bullitt, you should have this model in your collection. I highly recommend this one....

This comes with a real car and a CD to download so that kids can play online racing games. My 7 year old loves the online racing, but never plays with the real car. It was worth the money. Many racing options where the kids can practice, race against computer generated cars, and can race other kids online. It's a small investment with lots of playing time.

P-51 Mustang Tuskegee Airmen Review

P-51 Mustang Tuskegee Airmen

I only have one complaint about this airplane, the wheels don't look authentic. The rest of the plane looks great, but the wheels looks like they were made for little kids to be rough with rather than realistic looking. A great toy for the kids, but don't expect it to impress a collector. All the InAir planes are like that. Well built but the wheels are not realistic looking. Otherwise they are nice planes for the price and they include a stand that is a nice to display them. For kids these are great, but adults probably will be disappointed in the landing gear.
